The day before yesterday, I bought this phone online. Since coming to Australia, I've owned two cheapest-possible Nokias and I hate them. Can't hear a blasted thing on them and they are very unstable regarding sending text messages and making a ringing noise when receiving a call. Everyone seems to revere Nokias but I tell you I shall not have one again.
Anyway, I bought this new phone from an online company that sells unlocked phones for good prices, since I strongly resent how if you buy a phone in a shop you either pay premium price or are forced to buy some overpriced plan with it, and then to add insult to injury the phone is locked to that provider and you have to pay another $25-$80 to get it unlocked!
The only things that trouble me at this point are:
1) They charged me $15 shipping even though the warehouse it is being sent from is IN Brisbane and I am also IN Brisbane
2) In my receipt it is listed as weighing **15kg** (can you say, more than two orders of magnitude over the phone's 93g?!)
3) It is sent via Australian Air Express, which sent me an email that claims: "Please ensure you are available at your nominated delivery address during business hours over the next 3 business days to accept delivery of your item. Please note: Unique Mobiles reserves the right to charge a re-delivery fee of $15.00 if you are unavailable to accept your delivery."
Who the %^&$^& can spend **3 full business days** not working, or working from home, just so they can be around when some capricious delivery company decides to trip by for a delivery?? With no warning?? And, hasn't Australian Air Express ever heard of leaving a slip so that someone can get it at the pickup centre? Szplug ^&*#$%^@#!
